The Wildlands Conservancy is a Lehigh Valley non-profit organization that promotes the preservation of green space in the Lehigh Valley and is dedicated to educating the community about how to "create a legacy of a healthy, sustainable environment for future generations".  They offer educational programs all year long at numerous facilities throughout the Lehigh Valley in Emmaus, Schnecksville and Bethlehem.

The 5,286-acre Nockamixon State Park is in the rolling hills of scenic Bucks County, close enough to Philadelphia for a day trip, but far enough away for a vacation. Tohickon Creek, Three Mile Run and Haycock Run feed the 1,450-acre Lake Nockamixon, which is a rest stop for migrating waterfowl and a destination for boaters and anglers. Cedar Beach Park in West Allentown surrounds a pond.  The park features a large playground that has been designed for children of all abilities. It has  rubberized surface and is fenced in with multiple entrances.  There are tables in a shaded areas for picnics within the fence of the playground.  The park has a paved path around the pond for walking or running.

The Ironton Rail Trail is a converted railroad track. The railraod was used from 1860 through 1996 and was abandoned in 1984.  In 1996 the track was purchased and re-purposed, the track is now a paved path located just north of Whitehall. The trail is a total of 9.2 miles and includes a 5.5 mile loop. Pets on leashes are permitted. The Trail is open to bikers and rollerbladers, walkers and runners.
