The trout hatchery has food for sale in small vending machines for feeding the fish. The fish pools are caged in (on top) at the hatchery children can look at the fish.

The Ironton Rail Trail is a converted railroad track. The railraod was used from 1860 through 1996 and was abandoned in 1984. In 1996 the track was purchased and re-purposed, the track is now a paved path located just north of Whitehall. The trail is a total of 9.2 miles and includes a 5.5 mile loop. The South Whitehall Chase Park is a smaller park with some play equipment and a basketball court. The play equipment includes some smaller slides and ride on toys. It is an open park and is not enclosed by a fence. A bike path connects the park to the neighborhood behind the park.
In the winter months the park makes a decent sledding hill, not very large but good enough for a few rides!

The 3,002-acre Beltzville State Park is in the southern foothills of the Poconos. Pohopoco Creek, an excellent trout stream, feeds the 949-acre Beltzville Lake, which is a rest stop for migrating waterfowl and is a destination for boaters and anglers.
