The Swain School welcomes visitors to an Open House, to encourage interested families to learn more about its college preparatory program for children in 1st-8th grades. Families with children entering grades 1-8 next fall are invited to attend the program, starting promptly at 4 p.m., on Tuesday, Feb. 7 (the program ends at 6 p.m.). Head of School Dr. Shannan Schuster, as well as current Swain families and faculty, will meet with visitors to learn more about the programs. Children can choose from a variety of hands-on activities. Swain is a co-ed, independent school offering an education of exceptional quality to over 300 students from 23 area school districts. Small class sizes, an integrated curriculum, state-of-the-art technology resources, and a thorough program of character education, science, languages, arts and athletics are features of the school, which was founded in 1929.
