The glacial wetlands of the area are the natural pumps that feed local creeks and streams and provide critical habitat to a host of plants and wildlife. Glacial wetlands are fragile and uncommon ecosystems. We’ll have the opportunity to view bog sites, forest and oak brush thickets, marsh and laurel hells. Sturdy footwear and a walking stick are suggested. The hike is appropriate for children over the age of 8. Dogs on leash are welcome
