1 camp, 2 locations. Summer camps at the JCC offer children and teens of all ages the opportunity to supplement their summers with a variety of activities ranging from swimming to theater. Enjoy a traditional summer camp experience and explore the outdoors at Camp JCC in Center Valley, or discover your love of art, music, cooking, baking, or theater at our specialty camps at the JCC. Camp JCC, All Star Sports Camps, and Guard Start Lifeguarding Camp are housed at our campsite in Center Valley (5831 Vera Cruz Road). All other specialty camps are held at the JCC Main Building in Allentown (702 N. 22nd Street).
Camp JCC in Center Valley is an 8 week day camp open to campers ages 4-14 located less than 10 minutes from the Promenade Shops. It is a place thousands of campers have called home for over 50 years. Camp JCC is located on a 55-acre campus which includes sprawling sports fields, swimming pool complete with waterslides, high and low ropes courses with ziplines, nature and hiking trails, art and music programs, game room, nature programming, field trips, and special events. There is something for everyone and Camp JCC is open and welcoming to campers from all backgrounds. Camp JCC runs Monday, June 17 – Friday, August 9, 2018 from 9:00am - 4:00pm (half day and extended day options available) at the Camp JCC campsite in Center Valley.
J Camps Jr. is the perfect place to continue your early childhood education throughout the summer while in a fun camp setting. Enjoy all your favorite J Camps activities designed specifically for younger campers. The J Camps Jr. Program is open to campers ages 2 and 3 years old (by 9/1/19) and offers flexible scheduling. Register by the week to better fit your needs.
Music Camp is a fun and creative summer activity for campers of all ability levels which focuses on singing, music reading, theater and improvisation games, dance, movement, breathing techniques, and more. Music Camp runs Monday, June 17 - Friday, June 21, 2019 from 9:00am - 4:00pm at the JCC Main Building and is open to kids ages 2 nd - 6 th grade.
Choose from two amazing overnight experiences for summer of 2019. Teenagers will embark on two epic journeys across America and Canada. Campers will travel by bus, boat, and plane to explore great locations while creating lifelong memories and seeing some of the best state parks, cities, and locales each region has to offer. As an added bonus, campers will stay in a variety of different JCCs and many different university dormitories, showing teens the big world of college life. Travel Camp runs June 23 - July 2, 2019 and July 16 - July 29, 2019 and is open to kids ages 12 - 16.
In this week-long camp, students will have the opportunity to create their very own cartoon through the direction of accomplished animator, Cotty Kilbanks while using different techniques including drawing, painting, sculpting, and more. Cotty has worked in the animation industry with companies such as Disney, Warner Bros., Nickelodeon, and more. This week-long camp is for kids ages Kindergarten through 6th grade and runs Monday, June 24 - Friday, June 28, 2019 from 9:00am - 4:00pm at the JCC Main Building.
Join the JHoops team along with Morris Athletics as you work on honing your basketball skills over this one week camp. Work on speed, agility, teamwork, and more. This camp runs Monday, June 24 - Friday, June 28, 2019 from 9:00pm - 4:00pm at the campsite in Center Valley and is for campers ages 3rd - 8th grade.
Come and experience the world of performing arts with Stagemakers Theater Camp at the J. This 3 week camp follows the classic story of a wacky doctor who can talk to animals. Children will have the chance to focus on vocal work, dance, costuming, and more to put on an amazing final performance at the end of camp. Stagemakers Theater Camp runs Monday, July 1 - Friday, July 19, 2019 from 9:00am - 4:00pm at the JCC Main Building and is open to kids ages K - 6 th Grade.
This program is designed to guide youth through the American Red Cross Lifeguard Course and focuses on building a foundation of knowledge, attitudes, and skills for future lifeguards while having fun at Camp JCC. This camp runs Monday, July 15 - Friday, July 19, 2019 from 9:00pm - 4:00pm at the campsite in Center Valley and is for campers ages 3 rd - 8 th grade.
Develop fundamental baseball skills, work on batting and fielding, and improve your general fitness education with the help of Morris Athletics and Coach Taylor Breisch. Monday, July 22 - Friday, July 26, 2019 from 9:00pm - 4:00pm at the campsite in Center Valley and is for campers ages 3 rd - 8 th grade.
With a focus on safe cooking practices and the use of fresh, whole food ingredients, kids will learn various cooking methods as they dice, slice, and sauté their way through the exciting flavors of the world. All recipes are kosher and nut-free. All families are invited for an end of camp lunch on the last day of camp. JChefs Culinary Summer Camp runs from Monday, July 22 - Friday, July 26, 2019 from 9:00am – 4:00pm at the JCC Main Building and is open to kids Kindergarten - 8 th grade (Split by ages: K - 3rd , 4th - 8th ).
Let’s get baking and satisfy our sweet tooth at the J this summer during this week-long camp. Learn how to use a few basic ingredients to make some unique, sweet treats. Work with frosting, fondants, gum paste, sprinkles, and more. This week-long camp is open to kids ages Kindergarten - 8 th grade and runs from Monday, July 29 - Friday, August 2, 2019 from 9:00am – 4:00pm at the JCC Main Building.
This camp is designed to give your children the confidence they deserve and make them feel like rock stars. Throughout the week, campers will explore dance concepts, terminology, and learn two dance routines that will be performed at the end of the week. Dance Camp runs Monday, August 12 - Friday, August 16, 2019 from 9:00am - 1:00pm at the JCC Main Building and is open to kids ages Kindergarten - 6th grade.
Shoot some hoops, run through drills, and play some games with JHoops Basketball Camp. Campers will spend a week learning that attitude is everything and to believe in themselves, improving teamwork skills, and building confidence. JHoops Basketball Camp runs Monday, August 12 - Friday, August 16, 2019 from 9:00am - 1:00pm at the JCC Main Building and is for campers ages 3rd - 8th grade.
Join us as we sing and dance our way through the bright lights of Broadway. In this fun and entertaining class, students will learn songs, work on craft projects inspired by a Broadway musical, and more. End the week with a mini-showcase for family and friends. The workshop runs Monday, August 12 - Friday, August 16, 2019 from 1:00pm - 4:00pm at the JCC Main Building and is open to kids ages Kindergarten - 6th grade.
Continue your year-round JSeals Swim School aquatic education. A total person approach to swimming, this week-long swim experience will bust bad habits, build on skills, and uncover hidden talents of each participant. Our unique blend of stroke development, endurance training and competitive technique will be the backbone of this week’s swim experience. Our goal is for each child to become more confident in his/her ability while having fun in a safe aquatic atmosphere. JSeals Swim Camp runs Monday, August 19- Friday, August 23, 2019 from 9:00am - 1:00pm at the JCC Main Building and is for campers ages 1st - 9th grade.
Chess Camp is the perfect way to introduce the game of chess to new students and deepen understanding of the game for established players. Instructors provide daily lessons, puzzles, and play to help guide students through each session. Instruction offers a solid basic foundation, emphasizing the fundamental skills needed to begin a lifetime of learning in chess, including proper piece and board set- up, algebraic notation (chess language), and basic principles of play. Chess Camp runs Monday, August 19 - Friday, August 23, 2019 from 1:00pm - 4:00pm at the JCC Main Building and is open to kids ages Kindergarten - 6th grade.
The summer fun doesn’t have to end! Camp might be over, but that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy the remaining days of summer. Campers will go on field trips, participate in activities at our main building, and stay connected with their camp friends before the start of school. Bonus Camp at the J runs Monday, August 12 - Friday, August 30, 2019 from 7:30am - 6:00pm at the JCC Main Building and is open to kids ages Pre-K – 6 th grade.
