I was impressed by the educational element presented in Unagnst's Pumpkin Patch Field trip! It was way more than just a hayride to pick a pumpkin. Also the children actually "picked" a pumpkin, many similar place I have been had kids "choose" a pumpkin from a grassy area and not actually "pick" it. These pumpkins were straight off the vine! They had an enormous corn bin (like a corn filled sandbox) that the children loved, a lesson on the different kinds and colors of pumpkins and corn and a corn maze. They also incorporated the bees that live on the farm to pollinate the pumpkin flowers. Overall it was a really nice presentation!...more
