My Smart Hands is a locally run business that teaches babies, parents and or caregivers sign language in a fun and motivating setting. The classes incorporate music, games and books and encourage pre-verbal communication for children and babies. The classes are for all children and provide learning experiences in an engaging setting for families to learn with their children in. Sign language is not just for individuals who are hearing impaired, teaching sign language to babies helps develop verbal language and reduces frustration of toddlers by giving them a way to communicate before their words have fully developed.

Dena provided our team of babysitters a course in American Sign Language. A big thank you for everything we have learned during our training session. We can't wait to utilize what we learned with our clients! You have an incredible gift and the Valley is lucky to have you teach our little ones this important skill.

If I could give Mrs Dena 10 stars on here I would! I've taken my daughter to my smart hands 1 and 2 and a number of sing and sign classes. The classes are fun and she is one of the nicest people.Eva smiles when she sees her and I have just as much fun as she has. The classes are always changing. We did our first Sing and Sign class this past weekend as a drop in. Our son is 21 months old and we don't have any signing background. I was afraid it would be over our heads, but it wasn't! The class itself is very fun and interactive, even if you don't sign. Last year, I took Level 1 for Busy Parents and brought my son to Level 2 classes. Now he's almost 2 and still loves signing! Even though he's talking a lot, he frequently signs along with his speaking, which makes it easier for us to understand his toddler talk.
All our family is impressed with how much easier it is for our son to communicate with us and mom has even asked "Why doesn't every pediatrician recommend signing?!?!"

We had a great time during the Level 1 Sign Classes. We learned many signs we use daily. Can't wait for the Level 2 classes so we can expand our knowledge. The Sing and Sign is a lot of fun also. Dena gets everyone involved and really understands what she teaches us every class.

Had a awesome time today learning new signs, its my second class and I have learned tons of everyday signs already with cute songs to remember each! So excited to teach my 8 MO everything! Dena is a wonderful teacher I highly recommend her classes!!

Had a great time today at the newborn workshop. Dena was amazing and in an hour period I learned so much. We reviewed the alphabet and even learned twinkle twinkle little star. I am very excited to teach my son signing!

Had a great time at the intro class this morning! Learned how to sign 'Twinkle Twinkle Little Star', reviewed the alphabet and lots of signs to start using with my 2 month old..can never start too early! Dena made the class fun and interactive! I recommend signing up for a class today!
