Mercy Special Learning Center is a Catholic school operated by the Diocese of Allentown that is dedicated to providing education for children with special needs.  Mercy is the only private, non-residential school for children and young adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities in the Lehigh Valley. Mercy students enjoy meaningful educational experiences in and out of the classroom and develop life skills that will help them reach their fullest potential.

Preschool  (3-5 years)

• Preschool (Mini Mustangs) - provides an inclusive  preschool program fro children with and without disabilities.
• The environment for children aged 3-5 to prepare for the demands of a school aged classroom
• The program operates 5 days per week (children must attend a minimum of 2 days)
• It has full and half day options.

School Age (5-21 years)

• All students can receive various therapies (speech, PT and OT) at Mercy
• Services are provided by Carbon Lehigh Intermediate Unit 21. 

TLC Program (21+)

• Provides care for young adults with special needs during the day 
• The program is designed for individuals who are not able to obtain independent employment and are in need of a structured environment during the day
• Involves community activities and daily routines

Community Involvement Mercy's commitment to community involvement incorporates a variety of different activities in the area

• Parkettes
• Swimming at Rodale Aquatic Center
• Sessions at the Baum School of Art
• Bowling at Mountainville Lanes
• Special Olympics through Lehigh County.
• Older students can participate in a Work Experience Program to apply skills they
  learned at Mercy in a real-world settings
