Mercer built Fonthill castle in 1916 to house his collection of more that 80,000 artifacts and treasures. Run by the Bucks County Historical the property hosts many community events, educational programs, birthday parties, family programs. Recommended for school age kids, especially if you make it a family treasure hunt.
I have many fond memories of when my grandparents used to take my sister and I to visit and explore. I later got married at Font Hill.
Every time I visit, I find something I hadn't noticed before.
Also, check the calendar for special outdoor events, like the antique car show in early July.
