The Lehigh Valley Breastfeeding Center is located conveniently in Allentown, Just off the routes 22 and 309. They offer lactation support for new mothers, classes and support groups for families. The have a team of experience lactation specialists that are ready to support your needs as a new mother!

Milk Depot - Do you have extra breastmilk?  Why not donate your milk to The MidAtlantic Mother's Milk Bank (also known as Three Rivers Mother's Milk Bank)?  The Lehigh Valley Breastfeeding Center is proud to be a Milk Depot for MidAtlantic Mother's Milk Bank, which means approved donors can drop off their milk at our center, letting us handle the rest!  Learn more at https://midatlanticmilkbank.org/donate/

 

Support Groups

  • New Moms - Meet other moms in a supportive environment! Expecting? come out and say hello and meet us before your baby arrives! Meets weekly on Tuesdays at 10am at St. Joseph the Worker and the last Satuday in the month at 10am at the Breastfeeding Center. 
  • Postpartum Support - Connections - Connections Group is a free support group for those moms struggling with all the emotional changes that come with having a newborn. Led by a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner and Licensed Family Therapist, this group was formed to help moms cope with the ever changing emotions of new motherhood, while also helping moms to find their "tribe" as they raise their families. Meets the last 
  • Infant Loss - Stella’s Hearts is a free support group for families who have experienced the loss of a child via miscarriage, stillbirth, or neonatal death. This is an ongoing monthly safe space to share experiences, process feelings, and begin to find healing. Pregnancy loss and the death of a baby can be isolating and seldom talked about. Led by a Bereavement Doula, Women's Health Nurse Practitioner and a Licensed Family Therapist, this group will be a safe place to share with those who understand loss. This group is hosted the first Tuesday of each money at 6:30pm

The goal of Baby Friendly Lehigh Valley is to make life easier for families, expand the community of support. and encourage Lehigh Valley businesses and their patrons to become familiar with the Pennsylvania Freedom to Breastfeed Act. When a business displays a Baby Friendly Lehigh Valley logo, that location welcomes and supports families with babies, including breastfeeding mothers, in accordance with the Pennsylvania “Freedom to Breastfeed Act.” These locations go beyond the law to provide a clean, comfortable space for breastfeeding (or pumping) and a diaper changing station. They may also offer products or services that support breastfeeding and baby care. Most importantly, they foster an atmosphere of acceptance and support.
