My daughter goes to a tumbling class here and loves it!! The coaches are amazing and she had made some new friends in the process. Their kids night out that they hold once a month is also great. They do so much with the kids in 3 hours!

Really love this place! Great energy, fantastic instructors, and my kids are learning and enjoying a new sport! We started coming because of a buddy week and now my girls can't wait to bring a buddy of their own!

Surprised by some of these other reviews. My experience with both my kids has been great here! Daytime classes are just the right size and the kids get all the attention they need. The instructors are patient and somehow put even my most nervous child at ease (and she's a real scare-d-cat). They encourage them to work independently and yet help them on what's really important. I absolutely love Kids Co-Op and Girl's Co-Op. The it should be a 5 star except for one thing. That is hidden expenses that the parents are expected to do or pay at the last minute.
But the positives way out-way the negatives. This gym has an excellent program. Compared to other gyms they are have a very individual based program. Each student is treated with respect and individual guidance, weather in the regular or advanced programs. All are developed to their individual ability and with the same thoughtful guidance. All students are included in the end of year program, which is like a Broad way show, or a very good dance recital...or spectacular special.
The attention each child gets is more than I have ever seen in any program, and that attention extends to all, not only the talented. Of course they are always looking for the talented. The attention also is extended to correcting positions and to having a good student/coach ratio.
The cost is not too bad except for hidden expenses and "volunteering" which should be more up-front. I think this is why some parents feel some negative.
All in all, SUPER TERRIFIC!!!

A very nice recreational gymnastics program. Once your child crosses over to the "team side" (girls co-op), it is very different. It is expensive, there is poor communication, they are disorganized, there is a ridiculous amount of "volunteering" to do...you just have no idea what you're getting into! The parents are disrespected. There is no concept of parents as "paying customers" deserving of basic respect. The owner particularly has a very "my way or the highway" attitude. Perhaps this is just part of the gymnastics world, but still hard to swallow. ...more

My son loves his gymnastics class here! He was jumping, climbing and flipping all over the place so I figured I better sign him up before he gets hurt at home. He's happy to show off new things he learns each week! The coaches were great with him even when he was a little shy during his first few classes, but now he just struts right in with the rest of his class. We'll be signing him up again for the next session.

Our kids have gone to this gym for several years. There are two very different sides of the gym -- the recreational side and the developmental/team side.

As a rec gym, purely on the surface, it's OK. A nice facility, decent observation area, and skilled coaches.

As a devo/team gym, again the gymnastics skills are clearly there, but I have major issues with it as a business and as a group of people with whom we entrust our children.

Elitism & second-class citizens -- even more than other gyms in the area, we've found that this gym is laser-focused on their elite and team members, and are fairly dismissive of lower-level and recreational students and, particularly parents.

Disorganization -- much more than other gyms in the area, organizationally this gym is a mess. The devo and team programs are littered with one surprise fee after another. Many of these are announced too late to plan for the expenses. It is impossible to get an estimate, in advance, of the cost of attending XYZ program for a year (beyond the tuition).

Disrespect for parents -- this, unfortunately, seems somewhat common among team/competitive/devo gymnastics centers, but again, this gym has the problem more than others we've worked with. It's impossible to speak to the coaches or owners on short notice -- everything in writing, and responses are often slow or nonexistent.

All in all, if you can take responsibility for your kids and you want them to get strong gymnastics training, I suppose Kids Co-op is acceptable, but grow thick skin and prepare to be frustrated by the various indignities that come with being a parent of a gymnast here....more

Kids Co-op has been a great place for my young children to start gymnastics. My 4 year old & six year old started taking classes in the spring and have been going to their summer camp. They now do gymnastics in the backyard & anywhere else they get the chance! They love to watch the team girls across the gym at Girls Co-op and hope to be one of them some day. I like that they have a "make up" night you can schedule once a session if you miss a class....more
