Features:
This 269-acre Lehigh County park is known for good bird watching, especially during migration. The Jordan Creek meanders beneath several bridges and between lush vegetation. The trail surface is part macadam, in other parts it’s ciders. And in a third part, we will be walking on a narrow earthen path along the Jordan Creek. There are a few short inclines on the trail. Except for the narrow section close to the creek, this trail is suitable for strollers and wheel-chairs. This park sports the Jordan Creek Disc Golf Course and is near Helfrichs Spring. The Lehigh Valley Disc Golf Club hosted the World Disc Golf Tournament here. For this out-and-back hike, wear comfortable shoes, a sun hat and sun screen. Hiking poles or walking sticks might be useful along the stream. No bathrooms are available.
