Our Hometown Heroes
Presented by Embassy Bank

For the eighth year, the SteelStacks Campus will be transformed into a living memorial honoring our hometown heroes. The campus will be draped with images of local military heroes as a display of the appreciation and gratitude for their sacrifices and contributions. The banners will display photos of the soldiers, their rank, branch of service, era of service and hometown.

Support our troops by donating products from the list of items that are needed. Items can be dropped off at either of the following locations starting on May 1 during regular business hours.

Writing Workshops
Presented by FVET (Female Veterans Empowered to Transition), Warrior Writers New Jersey, and One Fight Foundation
ArtsQuest Center 2nd Floor, Fowler Blast Furnace Room 
The workshops are free and designed for veterans and family members to write and discuss the wars and home front experiences.  No previous writing experience is necessary to participate in the workshops. The workshops are limited to 12 participants. If you would like to reserve your spot, please contact Jenny Pacanowski at fvetinfo@gmail.com.

Performance Reading

The community is invited to listen to Veterans and family members speak a tribute to those they have lost in observance of Memorial Day. Jenny Pacanowski will curate the spoken word performance which includes a collaboration of performers from the groups FVET, Warrior Writers and One Fight Foundation.

Remember our Heroes Luminary Display
7 p.m.
Join us as we remember our heroes with a luminary display in honor of family and friends who served in the United States Armed Forces.

If you would like to participate in this special ceremony, please complete the online registration form. To complete the registration process, we ask that you stop by the luminary booth, located on the 1st floor of the ArtsQuest Center to make your donation. The booth will be open over the course of the holiday weekend during the following time frames:

May 26 3–7 p.m. 
May 27, 3–7 p.m.

Proceeds will be donated to the Lehigh Valley Chapter of the American Gold Star Mothers, Inc.

A Time to Remember
Levitt Pavilion Stage | 5 p.m. 
The Memorial Day Weekend celebration will conclude with a memorial service to remember the Lehigh Valley’s fallen soldiers.
