The Allentown Art Museum of the Lehigh Valley embraces the broadest possible audiences, offering tremendous variety and quality in their collections and exhibitions, educational and popular programs, and a busy calendar of public events. They serve over 100,000 participants annually, of whom more than 14,000 are children in school programs.
The Museum's collection of more than 17,000 works of art offers our community the opportunity to experience nearly 2,000 years of cultural heritage in an accessible and visitor-friendly environment.
There is an onsite cafe serving a variety of sandwiches, paninis, salads, soups and desserts. Everything is made fresh daily and available for takeout. Operating hours are Tuesday - Saturday 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. and Sundays 12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Went to a birthday party here and was really glad that I got to be the parent that stayed, instead of my wife! The kids had so much fun! Not sure if I could convince my kids to have their party there, but maybe!

We held my son's 5th birthday party here and they did an amazing job. They had the kids go on an Art Safari through the museum looking for animals in the art with a passport they got stamped (like a scavenger hunt). They really got the kids interacting in the gallery and then followed it with an art-making activity in which the kids created animal masks. I brought the cake and the museum provided everything else making it really easy....more

Just moved back into the area and I am happy to find that the Lehigh Valley is full of the arts! I may still miss Philly, but the Allentown Art Museum was a great day out. Can't wait to explore it some more!
