Active learning center in Palmer is fantastic. They are super reliable, especially in the winter with snow days. They are open on days that other centers are typically closed. I love it and my daughter is happy here. We tried a childcare center in the past and my daughter was always sad when I dropped her off and happy to leave at the end of the day. She also seemed to get sick constantly. Since we have been coming to Active learning center on most days she is happy when I drop her off and sometimes does not want to leave. She’ll tell me that she wants to go to daycare when we’re home or that she wants to play with her friends. The teachers are all great. They know your name and treat you like a friend. I smiled when I walked in to pick up my daughter one time and heard the teacher tell her that she loved her as she gave her a goodbye hug. It’s great to know that the staff at ALC actually care about the kids. My daughter has learned so much since being at ALC. She comes home singing songs, talking about the things the teachers did for her, and about her friends. She did a gymnastics course, she has weekly karate, and she is currently enrolled in the soccer class. She will soon be moving into a preschool classroom and I will certainly miss all the teachers, but I am confident that her new teachers will be great as well. 😊👍...more

As stressful and overwhelming it is a parent to find the best place for your little one to spend the day when you are at work, I am beyond happy about my decision to send my son to Active Learning Center in Palmer, PA. Over this past school year, I have watched four year old son grow in his social skills, his vocabulary, his interest in stories and characters, his patience, and his overall appreciation for learning and being with other kids. His teacher is unbelievable, she is so patient and kind. The director, Megan, who I know personally, is one of the best people I know...always willing to help and see her ALC students succeed. The staff has been nothing but helpful and cooperative with me when I need them. My son LOVES going to school and nothing makes me happier than hearing him eagerly tell me about his day when I pick him up. I highly recommend Active Learning Center, it is the best decision that I made....more

My son has been at ALC Palmer for the past five months, and we are very pleased with his education, and care. He has learned so much in his short time here, in both the older toddler and Pre-School rooms. His vocabulary has grown tremendously, and I'm impressed by his manners (which are definitely being reinforced at school). We're grateful he loves his school and has so much fun learning. As a parent, I love the communication from the center with updates and photos daily/weekly. I also appreciate the care they give to make all their ALC families feel welcome!...more

Love ALC! My 5 year old is excited to go everyday and loves the entire staff! They make everyone feel like family and I love that they use the same discipline from karate in the classrooms!

I was one to always be completely against daycare for my kids...until the day came that I HAD to put my two boys (ages 4 and 1 at the time) in daycare. My very good friend always spoke very highly of ALC at the Fogelsville location for years, so this was obviously my first choice just based off of her opinion. I have to say this place COMPLETELY changed my opinion on daycare. Over the last year while my kids attended ALC, they have grown socially and academically by leaps and bounds! I knew when I heard my 4 year old trying to read, and when I heard my early two year old count to 20, we were at the right place. It's always a great sign when you show up to pick up your kids, and they drop their shoulders and say "Not yet, mom!" Each teacher I had to entrust with the care of my children, exceeded my expectations. The teachers and staff are very compassionate, helpful, and knowledgeable. I always have a good feeling leaving my children at ALC for the day. I may not know every teacher personally, but every teacher knows both of my children by name, and that's the definition of a true daycare family! ...more

ALC has been a great place for our boys. My oldest son started in Toddler3 until Kindergarten and my youngest son started in the infant room and is in PreSchool now. The summers my son enjoys the Summer Camp program. They go to different places everyday and aren't stuck inside. They are like family to us. It's very structured there and a lot of extra activities Soccer Shots, Parkette's, Tech Stars and Karate. Our boys have enjoyed all of them! It's a clean facility and super friendly. I would highly recommend this center to any family! ...more

My eight-year-old daughter has been going to the Active Learning Center for nearly six months now. Since her first day, she has enjoyed her experience there. The staff are extremely helpful and very accommodating. They treat you like family, inviting everyone to get together for parties and other events. I am truly glad that we decided to have Amelia attend there. I can go to work knowing that she is well taken care of each day.

My children love coming to ALC! They have a very friendly staff and my kids feel very at home there. There are so many great activities for the kids during the day as well as extra classes offered. My kids love soccer and little ninjas as well as making great friends at school. They learn so much and I am happy to have them in this educational environment.

Our three children went to ALC from the time they were infants through PreK. We have had nothing but positive experiences. The teachers treated all of our children like their own. The office staff was extremely responsive to any requests or questions that we had. And, all of our children were well prepared for public school education.

Both of my kids attend the ALC Beginnings location. We love the staff and the environment. The teachers are fantastic and caring. My oldest (2.5yrs) loves going to "school" to play with her friends. The teachers keep you updated on the daily events with pictures and comments. The kids are "active" all day long with educational and fun activities. I would 100% recommend this daycare to anyone looking.
